The Dragon™ Liquid Desiccant Platform
A patented climate infrastructure replacing compressor-based HVAC in humidity-critical environments. Independent temperature and humidity control, water recovered from air, natural pathogen elimination — all from one integrated system.
How It Works
Conventional HVAC cools air first, then condenses moisture as a side effect. Dragon does the opposite: a concentrated hygroscopic salt solution pulls moisture out of air directly — without compression, without phase change, without the energy cost.
Air Intake
Ambient air enters the Dragon absorber stage.
Desiccant Absorption
Concentrated Liquid Desiccant contacts the air, absorbing water vapor and eliminating pathogens on contact.
Regeneration
Diluted solution is heated at 50–70°C — compatible with solar thermal, waste heat, or low-grade sources — driving water back out.
Water Recovery
Condensed water collected as a clean byproduct; concentrated solution returns to step 2 in a continuous cycle.
Dragon vs Conventional HVAC
Measured across 27 projects and 350+ units over 14 years
| Parameter | Conventional HVAC | Dragon Liquid Desiccant |
|---|---|---|
| Energy consumption | Baseline (100%) | 30–70% less |
| Temperature & humidity control | Coupled (humidity is a side effect) | Independent, precise |
| Water recovery | None — condensate discarded | Up to 100+ L/h per unit, clean |
| Pathogen control | Requires UV, chemical disinfectants, or filters | Natural — desiccant kills pathogens on contact |
| Regeneration heat source | Mechanical compression only | Solar thermal, waste heat, low-grade heat |
Typical ROI
Payback periods across deployed projects
Typical payback for industrial drying and cold-storage retrofits
Payback including water-recovery reuse for irrigation
Regulated environments where pathogen control adds compliance value
ROI depends on facility size, outdoor climate, existing HVAC efficiency, and local energy costs. Our engineering team provides project-specific analysis during consultation.
